Kettlebell Halo


 

The Halo is a good way to loosen and open up the shoulders at the start of the workout, while also targeting the core muscles.
  • Grab a kettlebell with both hands, one on each side of the handle.
  • Stand with your feet at about shoulder width and raise the kettlebell beside your head, with your elbows bent at about a 90-degree angle.
  • Move the kettlebell in a circular motion around your head.
  • After performing the desired number of reps in one direction, you should reverse direction and repeat going the other way.
  • There should not be excessive strain during this exercise especially if doing it as a warm-up, in which case, switch to a lighter weight.
