MobilityWOD Battlestar™
Introducing the newest addition to the line of mobility tools to make you a better athlete.
If a steam roller, wolverine and a chain saw got together and had a baby, the BattleStar™ would be born. The Gemini and Super Nova have been great for several functions including tissue shearing and detailed work, but we were missing a way of creating larger global shear and experiencing a little more "grippy" action.
Most of the rollers out on the market today are just tubes with foam over them and they do a lot of pressing and rolling of tissues. The BattleStar™ is made from Urethane which allows us to create a ton of grip and causes a lot more shear in the joint tissues. Utilizing the BattleStar™ cradle allows us to do a little more detailed work where we can roll the body back and forth without having the roller change underneath. This also allows us to have a little more leverage and be more detailed in the hip and larger muscle groups.
The Big BattleStar™ was the original size, but we found that we wanted a more acute pressure for some of our tissues so we developed the Little BattleStar™. The Little BattleStar™ feels much more like a barbell but with better grip and better adhesion quality.
Battle Saw
Remember how you freaked out in pure stoke when you first found out that Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia were long lost siblings? Well it turns out that the revolutionary, Jedi level BattleStar™ had a long lost sister too, the Battle Saw, and she is a total badass.
Eventually, everyone comes to realize that tubes of foam (foam rollers) are at best good for beginners, and ultimately need to be relegated back to the kiddie pool. We met the needs of these athletes with our pro-level BattleStar™ system. Our top athletes noticed the improvements in treatment too, and we've seen the BattleStar™ embraced at every level of sport and performance, from the top of the UFC, to the college weight room, to the sidelines of the NFL, to the kids holding it down in the most austere combat environments.
Remember though, we are users too. And since we fight for the users, we realized we still wanted a slightly different stimulus in the BattleStar™ environment. Enter the Battle Saw. We set out to create a roller that allowed us to use less pressure, but had better fascial/connective tissue penetration. If the original BattleStar™ is a sledge hammer-wolverine , then the Battle Saw is a ballerina honey badger.
The evil empire of tacked-down, gristled warriors is no match for the united family of the BattleStar™ and Battle Saw.
