This is a neat trick to fully recruit the lats whenever you do wide-grip pull-ups

I recommend a thumbless grip for maximal recruitment (a.k.a false grip)

Do a set of either wide-grip pull-ups. When you hit failure and cannot do anymore reps, don’t end the set. Lock your elbows and try to touch your chest to the bar by using only the scapulae retractors. You won’t get that high but it’s the effort of trying to get the chest to the bar will prolong the time under tension for the lats and scapulae retractors.
Do four or five of these at the end of every set of wide grip pull-ups.
