It wouldn’t be very nice to tell you all about the benefits without giving you some exercises to try so here is a sample indian club exercise that you can perform to improve your golf swing.

Circular Motion Exercises

This exercise is great for shoulder movement. You will want to use two clubs, one for each arm. By improving the motion on each arm independently, you can achieve more power in your golf swing.

To perform this exercise, start by holding your indian club with the base (wide end) at your eye level. The handle (narrow end) should be pointing down towards the ground. Now, bring the club up and extend it back over your head. You should feel it stretching your arm muscles as it swings back. Next, swing the club in a fluid motion back over your head and all the way around your body until it is sticking straight out behind you as shown in the picture above. Now, return it in back to the start position by swinging it back around to your front and bending your arm back into the side of your body. This exercise is to be done in one fluid motion without stopping at the different stages. The inertia built up by the club is what helps build and define your muscles. The swinging is what increases your range and flexibility. As you get the hang of it, you can increase the speed however you don’t want to go too fast. Do as many reps as you can and when your arm gets tired, switch to the other arm and repeat the process.
